Thanks for visiting the online home of Frank Massaro Wildlife and Nature Photography. Each summer for the last four years, I have had the opportunity to spend time working around, observing, and photographing native coastal Alaskan brown bears. Often times I have been fortunate enough to see individual animals or family units on a daily or regular basis. Observing these bears and their intelligence; seeing the incredible range of behaviors, personalities, and social interaction skills they possess; and watching young animals learn, grow, and develop lifelong skills; simply put, these experiences have provided for my most memorable times in the outdoors.

The 2008 Alaska Bears Gallery section of the site contains thirteen brand new images that are featured in the 2008 Alaska Bears calendar. The images in the 2008 calendar were taken at various locations in Katmai National Park, Alaska, including Brooks River Falls. The other gallery sections of the site feature photos from the McNeil River State Game Sanctuary, Alaska as well as other Alaska locations.
